Seahawks LB Uchenna Nwosu looks to be recovering well this offseason

The Seattle Seahawks may be getting a much-needed boost to their defense, and this time it will be coming from within the organization. Last year, Seahawks linebacker/pass rusher was lost for the season after suffering a pectoral injury in Week 7. After Nwosu was placed on injured reserve, Seattle’s pass rush became wildly inconsistent.

Fortunately, a bit of good injury news appears to be upon us. On Instagram, a video of Nwosu training has him looking back to his usual explosive self.

Interestingly, the first player in this video is former Seahawks defensive end Rasheem Green, who was drafted by Seattle in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. Green is now with the Chicago Bears.

In Nwosu’s debut season with Seattle in 2022, he became a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line. Nwosu played in all 17 games, had 66 total tackles, defended four passes, forced three fumbles (recovering two of them) and logged 9.5 sacks.

Needless to say, his return to full health will be a considerable upgrade to a defensive line that now features Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II.
