Sam Hartman finally wins a game against Clemson football — on College Football 25

Former Wake Forest and Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman faced Clemson football in every one of his six college seasons, going 0-6 against the Tigers.

The final score improved over the years, from a 63-3 Clemson win vs. Wake Forest in 2018 to the 31-23 Clemson win vs. Notre Dame last season. But the result never changed.

But Hartman finally got the best of the Tigers — on the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game released on Monday.

The game is the first licensed college football video game released since 2013. Hartman never got to see his CGI self in a college game, but he did utilize the Demon Deacons in a manner of light-hearted revenge.

"Just blowing off some steam ..." Hartman tweeted on Tuesday with a couple laughing emojis, tweeting a photo of the new game on his TV with Wake Forest winning 105-34 in the fourth quarter against Clemson in gameplay.

Good for you, Sam.

The game is available to those who pre-ordered the game digitally on PlayStation 5 or XBOX Series X and will be available worldwide via a physical copy on Friday.

Clemson is rated as one of the top-10 teams in the game and the best team in the ACC.

Meanwhile, Hartman has a big opportunity upcoming when training camp begins in the NFL. Hartman signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Commanders in the spring.
