Report: Packers request to interview Bills’ Bobby Babich for defensive coordinator job

Interest in Buffalo Bills linebackers coach Bobby Babich continues to grow.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Babich is set to interview with the Green Bay Packers relating to their vacant defensive coordinator position.

Recently, Babich did the same with the New York Giants.

Following the end of the Packers’ 2023 season, Green Bay fired defensive coordinator Joe Barry. Per Packers Wire, Green Bay has interviewed at least four different candidates so far this offseason.

While an assistant defensive backs coach with the Cleveland Browns, Babich worked directly with Packers Pro Bowlers Joe Haden and T.J. Ward.

Babich, 40, has worked on Sean McDermott’s coaching staff as a defensive assistant. Babich came to Buffalo with his father, Bob, in 2017. The elder Babich coached linebackers for five seasons in Buffalo. He retired after the 2021 season.

Bills Wire will continue to provide coaching staff updates throughout the offseason.
