Reactions: Why is 2024 Crosstown Shootout between Cincinnati Bearcats, Xavier on ESPN+?
Saturday, December 14 is shaping up to be a memorable day for men's college basketball, scheduled to include Louisville at Kentucky, UConn-Gonzaga at Madison Square Garden, Tennessee at Illinois, UCLA-Arizona, Creighton-Alabama, Auburn-Ohio State, Texas A&M-Purdue and many more.
Fans learned Wednesday that the Crosstown Shootout at Fifth Third Arena between the Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier Musketeers is scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. that day, on ESPN+.
The network, ESPN+, caught many fans on social media off guard.
"For those asking - the home team and their TV partner is how the game is determined," Paul Fritschner tweeted. "This year, at UC, it’s been assigned to ESPN+. The Bearcats will also play Kansas and Baylor on ESPN+, among others."
