Raheem Mostert contract extended by Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have extended Pro Bowl running back Raheem Mostert with a two-year deal that takes him through 2025.
The deal is worth up to $9.075 million, according to a league source.
Mostert, 31, ran for 1,012 yards and 18 touchdowns last season.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel trusts Mostert, whom he also coached in San Francisco.
Mostert is a great fit for Miami’s outside zone scheme offense.
The Dolphins' backfield is deep. Mostert is complemented by De’Von Achane, Jeff Wilson, Chris Brooks and Salvon Ahmed.
McDaniel recommitted to the run game last season and Mostert flourished.
Mostert has averaged an outstanding 5.2 yards per carry in his career.
