QB Tait Reynolds commits to Clemson football, Dabo Swinney with plan to play baseball
Clemson football landed a commitment Sunday from quarterback Tait Reynolds, who recently backed out of a baseball commitment to Arizona State, and is expected to play both sports for the Tigers.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounds Reynolds is from Queen Creek, Arizona, and is Clemson' football’s first commitment for the 2026 class. He made the announcement Sunday on social media.

“So blessed for the opportunity to play not just one, but two sports that I love at the next level,” Reynolds wrote. “Beyond excited to announce my commitment to Clemson.”
Reynolds attended the Dabo Swinney Football Camp at Clemson last month and decommitted from Arizona State.
Reynolds is a three-star recruit by 247Sports and the No. 1 overall player in Arizona for his class and the No. 28 quarterback in the country.

Reynolds last season as a sophomore at Queen Creek passed for 1,808 yards and 11 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He also ran for 631 yards and 17 scores. In baseball, he is an outfielder who led Queen Creek to the 2024 Class 6A state championship.
Reynolds has 28 football offers, according to 247 Sports. ACC teams include Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Miami and NC State. Other notables were Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
