Patrick Mahomes helps adidas and Texas Tech launch new partnership
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — adidas, Patrick Mahomes and Texas Tech University have announced a new 10-year partnership.
This deal will make adidas the official footwear, uniform, apparel and accessory partner of the Texas Tech Raiders athletic teams.
Previosuly, Texas Tech had been sponsored by Under Armour since 2006.
This partnership comes as part of adidas’ continued work with their current partner and Texas Tech alumni Mahomes, who’s been with adidas since his rookie year in 2017 and was put in Texas Tech’s Ring of Honor in 2022.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for Texas Tech and I’m proud to have helped bring Red Raider Nation into the three-stripe fam,” said Mahomes.
“Today is just the beginning of an incredible partnership with adidas, so stay tuned for more to come this fall that we’re excited to be working on together!”
Mahomes initially teased the partnership in October of 2023, recreating an iconic photo from 2019. As of July 1, the tape is officially off in a social stunt that’s currently on their social channels.
When the tape was removed, Mahomes’ gladiator logo, the adidas logo and the Texas Tech logo were unveiled in the middle of the field.
Starting today, fans can purchase select Texas Tech gear from adidas, as well as local Texas Tech retailers. New details about uniforms and apparel will be revealed in the coming months.
adidas and Mahomes also are releasing co-branded apparel featuring Mahomes’ signature Gladiator logo. This is the first time an adidas athlete partner’s logo has been featured on official collegiate apparel.
