Tamba Hali tutored Joey Bosa in an awesome postgame moment between opponents
The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are AFC West rivals, and on Saturday night, the Chiefs pulled ahead of the Chargers in the division standings with their 30-13 home win.
Despite the rivalry, after the game, Chiefs great Tamba Hali, one of the better pass rushers of his time, pulled aside Chargers young star Joey Bosa to offer him a tutorial, a few tricks of the trade.
Hali is 34 now and has seen his role on the Chiefs’ defense reduced after spending the first couple of months of the season on the physically unable to perform list; he has played in four games, but is not starting.
But Hali’s body of work speaks for itself. He’s a five-time Pro Bowler who totaled an impressive 46.5 sacks from 2010-13 and has 89.5 sacks in his career.
Bosa seemed more than willing to listen to the advice the veteran had to offer. The Charger, a first-round pick in 2016, is off to quite the start himself: he had 10.5 sacks in 12 games as a rookie, and already has 11.5 this season, though he was shutout against the Chiefs on Saturday night.
