Quite a few receiver-needy contenders, as well as their respective fans, would probably love to take Diontae Johnson away from the Carolina Panthers. But what does Johnson himself think of the recent rumor and innuendo about a possible move?

Johnson spoke with reporters this afternoon. And as his name continues to pop up in hypotheticals with the league's trade deadline approaching, he had this to say about all the talk . . .

With the Panthers continuing to struggle, numerous NFL insiders have thrown Johnson into trade speculation over the past few weeks. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler noted earlier this month that teams are on "high alert" for the former Pro Bowl pass catcher.

As for the situation with his current team, Johnson missed his second straight practice on Thursday due to a rib injury. He did, however, also tell reporters that he believes he'll be able to play in Sunday's matchup against the Denver Broncos.
