In three seasons at Arizona, Ballo averaged 11.3 points per game, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. Ballo had his best season in 2023-24 when he put up 13.1 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest. As a redshirt freshman at Gonzaga in 2020-21, Ballo averaged 2.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and shot 62.9% from the floor.

Ballo was First Team All-Pac 12 in his last two seasons with the Wildcats. He received Pac-12 All-Defensive Team honors as a redshirt senior and was Pac-12 All-Defensive Team as a redshirt junior.
