Oklahoma State baseball vs OU recap: Cowboys capture Big 12 Tournament championship
The final Big 12 baseball game of the 2024 season will be the final scheduled Bedlam showdown before OU departs for the SEC on July 1.
Coach Josh Holliday and the second-seeded Oklahoma State Cowboys take on coach Skip Johnson and the top-seeded Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday in the Big 12 Tournament championship game in Arlington, Texas.

Final: Oklahoma State 9, OU 3
Oklahoma State wins its fourth Big 12 Tournament championship and first since 2019.

End of eighth inning: Oklahoma State 9, OU 3
Oklahoma State's Kollin Ritchie led off the eighth with a homer to right-center field before Ian Daugherty followed with a blast over the left field wall. OU's James Hitt replaced Will Carsten on the mound after the two homers. In the bottom of the frame, Michael Snyder drove in Easton Carmichael on a double.
Middle of seventh inning: Oklahoma State 7, OU 2
Oklahoma State's Nolan Schubart launched three-homer over the center field wall, driving in Carson Benge and Lane Forsythe. OU reliever Dylan Crooks was then replaced by Will Carsten, who got two straight outs to help the Sooners escape the top of the inning.
End of fifth inning: Oklahoma State 4, OU 2
John Spikerman got OU on the scoreboard with a one-out double that drove in Kendall Pettis, prompting Oklahoma State coach Josh Holliday to replace starting pitcher Tommy Molsky with Gabe Davis. Easton Carmichael then hit a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Jason Walk.
Middle of fifth inning: Oklahoma State 4, OU 0
Dylan Crooks replaced OU starting pitcher Carter Campbell on the mound with no outs in the fifth and two runners in scoring position before Avery Ortiz extended Oklahoma State's lead to 2-0 with a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Ian Daugherty. Lane Forsythe then made it 3-0 with a single that drove in Colin Brueggemann. With two outs, Forsythe scored on a wild pitch.
End of first inning: Oklahoma State 1, OU 0
Oklahoma State started strong in the top of the first inning as Zach Ehrhard hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Carson Benge, but OU pitcher Carter Campbell limited the damage as he escaped the frame with a runner stranded on third base. Oklahoma State pitcher Tommy Molsky was solid in the bottom of the inning as he got three straight outs.
