Olympic medals today: What is the medal count at 2024 Paris Games on Aug. 3?

There were plenty of fireworks at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday.

American gymnast Simone Biles picked up her third gold medal, winning the vault final after earlier finishing on top of the podium in the women's all-around competition and the team event final. She edged Brazil superstar Rebeca Andrade on vault and American Jade Carey finished with bronze.

Over on the track, U.S. sprinting sensation Sha'Carri Richardson ran in the 100-meter dash on Saturday at Stade de France. Richardson, the defending world champion in the 100, was a favorite to win but took silver behind Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred.

Meanwhile, American Ryan Crouser picked up his third consecutive Olympic gold medal in men's shot put.

In the pool, the USA's Katie Ledecky won gold in the 800-meter freestyle and Ryan Murphy (backstroke), Nic Fink (breaststroke), Gretchen Walsh (butterfly) and Torri Huske (freestyle) won gold and set a world record in the 4x100m medley relay.

What is the medal count at the 2024 Paris Olympics?

The U.S. leads the overall medal count with 61 − 14 gold, 24 silver and 23 bronze. However, China leads the gold medal count with 16. Here is the top 10 by total on Saturday:
