Ole Miss vs Furman score today: Live updates, highlights from Week 1 game
OXFORD — Ole Miss football filled all the boxes on its checklist against Furman.
There were no apparent injuries to important players. The majority of the key starters, including quarterback Jaxson Dart, were out of the game by halftime. And the score was about as lopsided as it gets.
The Rebels demolished FCS Furman, 76-0, on Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, to open their season.
Dart threw for 418 yards in 30 minutes of work, passed for five touchdowns and rushed for another. Tre Harris caught eight passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns, and Matt Jones rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the second half.
The new-look defense for the Rebels (1-0) smothered Furman (0-1), holding last year's SoCon champions to 164 yards of total offense while piling up 16 tackles for loss.
