Here are the perks of Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss football contract, including private air travel
OXFORD ― Lane Kiffin's contract with the Ole Miss Athletic Foundation entitles the Rebels' football coach to use private air transportation for recruiting activities, according to documents obtained by the Clarion Ledger. The contract does not set a limit on Kiffin's usage of private air transportation for recruiting purposes.
According to the same contract, the OMAF is also obligated to offer Kiffin, who is scheduled to earn $8.85 million in base pay this year, up to 30 in-flight hours of private air transport for personal use every year. Any hours not used by Kiffin roll over to the next year.
On May 1, Kiffin also signed an amendment to his OMAF agreement that updated his incentives to fit with the new model for the College Football Playoff, which is being expanded to 12 teams for the 2024 season.
Kiffin earns $150,000 per SEC win, beginning with the Rebels' fifth SEC victory of the regular season. He's also due $100,000 for each nonconference win over Power Five opposition. Notably, that language includes games against the Pac-12, which now consists of just Oregon State and Washington State. Ole Miss has games scheduled against Oregon State in 2027 and 2030.
If Ole Miss appears in the SEC title game, Kiffin would be entitled to $150,000 for losing it or $400,000 for winning it.
He'd earn a $50,000 bonus if Ole Miss plays in the Birmingham Bowl or Independence Bowl, $100,000 for the Taxslayer, Outback, Belk, Music City, Texas or Liberty bowls and $125,000 for the Citrus Bowl.
His OMAF contract includes CFP incentives. He’d be entitled to the largest of the following applicable bonuses: $1 million for winning the national title, $750,00 for reaching the title game, $500,000 for reaching the semifinals, $250,000 for reaching the quarterfinals or $150,000 for playing in the first round.
If Kiffin is named SEC Coach of the Year, he receives $50,000. A National Coach of the Year honor from select outlets would earn him $100,000. Kiffin could also receive up to $200,000 in ticket sales bonuses if the Rebels sell over 40,000 non-student season tickets.
Kiffin could also earn bonuses for his team's Academic Progress Rate. A single-year APR between 950 and 975 would see him earn $100,000, while a single-year APR above 975 is worth $150,000.

Consistent with some other Ole Miss coaches, Kiffin's OMAF contract comes with some other, comparatively minor perks. The OMAF provides him with the use of two automobiles, a membership for the Country Club of Oxford, use of a cell phone, a suite at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium during home games, eight priority-level tickets for home and away games and 18 priority-level tickets for postseason games.
