Ole Miss football helmet stickers honor Monte Kiffin, the late father of Lane Kiffin

OXFORD — Ole Miss football will honor Monte Kiffin, a legendary defensive coach and the father of Rebels coach Lane Kiffin, with a helmet sticker this season.

Monte Kiffin, credited with the Tampa Two defense that the Buccaneers rode to their first Super Bowl title, died in July at the age of 84.

On Saturday, the Rebels used social media to share an image of the helmet decal they'll use to remember the defensive guru.

Kiffin spent his final years on staff in Oxford, where he worked for his son as a defensive analyst. He also followed his son to Tennessee, USC and FAU, serving on staff at all three of Lane Kiffin's previous college head coaching stops.

The Rebels will debut the sticker against FCS Furman on Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN+).
