OKC Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren appear in NBA All-Star fan voting
The NBA released its first fan returns for All-Star voting on Thursday, and multiple OKC Thunder players received some recognition.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ranks third among Western Conference guards with 966,927 votes. He's averaging career highs of 31.4 points, 6.4 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game this season.
Chet Holmgren also ranks ninth among Western Conference frontcourt players with 186,582 votes. He's averaging 17.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in what's considered his rookie campaign after he missed all of last season due to injury.
Fans account for 50% of the vote to decide All-Star starters, while NBA players and a media panel account for 25% each. The next fan update is scheduled to be released on Jan. 11.
All-Star voting ends on Jan. 20 at 10:59 p.m. The All-Star game will then be held on Feb. 18 in Indianapolis.
