Oilers' Legend Wayne Gretzky Attends Donald Trump Election Event

EDMONTON -- It was a big day in America yesterday.

November 5th was election day, and both CNN and The New York Times have projected Donald Trump to become the next president of the United States.

Last night, Trump hosted a Republican gathering. Several high-profile guests, including Elon Musk, Bryson DeChambeau, and former Edmonton Oilers legend Wayne Gretzky, attended the event.

Paulina Gretzky, Wayne's daughter, shared a group photo on her Instagram stories.

The photo features Wayne, his wife Janet, Paulina, Dustin Johnson (her husband), and Trevor, Paulina's brother.

According to The Associated Press, Trump is projected to win 277 electoral votes. A candidate needs 270 to secure the presidency. Kamala Harris is sitting at 224.

It is not uncommon for the votes to be counted days, and even weeks after election day. This is because of all the mail-in ballots that will still be counted, as long as they were mailed by election day.

If Trump is to be elected this will be his second term as president. Joe Biden is currently the president, with his term ending in January 2025.

Trump first came into presidential office in 2016, when he defeated Hillary Clinton in the election. He served his full term and was replaced by the current president, Biden.

The entire world is watching the results of this election. The United States is a vital participant in the world, and whoever is leading the country will play an important part in the future.
