A new No. 1: SEC football power rankings after Week 11

Week 11 of the 2024 college football season has concluded. Eight Southeastern Conference teams were in action on Saturday.

Tennessee (8-1, 5-1 SEC) hosted Mississippi State (2-8, 0-6 SEC) on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. The Vols defeated Mississippi State, 33-14.

Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky and Texas A&M had open dates on Saturday.

Week 11 featured two top 25 matchups in the SEC. No. 12 Ole Miss (8-2, 4-2 SEC) defeated Georgia (7-2, 5-2 SEC), 28-10, at Vaught–Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi.

No. 11 Alabama defeated No. 13 LSU, 42-13, at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

16. Mississippi State Bulldogs (2-8, 0-6 SEC)

Mississippi State remains win-less in SEC play this season after losing at Tennessee on Saturday. The Bulldogs win finish Jeff Lebby's first year as head coach against Missouri and at Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl.

Kentucky had its second and final open date in Week 11. The Wildcats will need to win out to become bowl eligible against Murray State, at Texas and against Louisville.

Florida totaled 329 yards and committed three turnovers in its 49-17 loss at Texas in Week 11. The Gators need two wins to become bowl eligible. Florida concludes regular-season play versus LSU, Ole Miss and at Florida State.

Oklahoma lost at Missouri in Week 11. The Sooners need one win to become bowl eligible. Oklahoma will have an open date in Week 12 before finishing regular-season play versus Alabama and at LSU.

The Razorbacks had an open date on Saturday and will return to action in Week 12 at home against Texas. Arkansas needs one win to become bowl eligible. After the Longhorns, Arkansas will host Louisiana Tech and travel to Missouri.

Missouri totaled 278 yards and were able to secure a SEC home win over Oklahoma on Saturday in Week 11. The Tigers held Oklahoma to 257 total yards.

South Carolina won its third straight game in Week 11. The Gamecocks won at Vanderbilt, 28-7, and became bowl eligible. South Carolina will conclude SEC play next week versus Missouri before playing nonconference games against Wofford and at Clemson.

LSU has lost two consecutive games to Texas and Alabama after winning six straight contests. The Tigers will play at Florida next in Week 12.

After becoming bowl eligible last week, Vanderbilt lost at home to South Carolina. The Commodores will have their final open date in Week 12 before concluding regular-season play at LSU and hosting Tennessee.

Texas totaled 562 yards in its 49-14 win versus Florida in Week 11. Quarterback Quinn Ewers competed 19-of-27 passing attempts for 333 yards, five touchdowns and zero interceptions for the Longhorns.

Georgia suffered its second SEC regular-season loss in Week 11. The Bulldogs have lost two road contests in league play: at Alabama and Mississippi. Georgia will host Tennessee in Week 12 at Sanford Stadium.
