Week 8 of the college football season has concluded for Southeastern Conference teams. Week 8 featured two top 10 contests in the SEC. Rankings reflect the US LBM Coaches Poll.

No. 10 Tennessee (6-1, 2-1 SEC) defeated No. 7 Alabama (5-2, 2-2 SEC), 24-17, at Neyland Stadium. Alabama now has two losses during the 2024 regular-season (Vanderbilt, Tennessee).

No. 1 Texas (6-1, 2-1 SEC) also hosted No. 4 Georgia (6-1, 3-1 SEC) on Saturday at Darrell K Royal Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. The Bulldogs were victorious, 30-15, to give Texas its first loss of the season.

Ole Miss (5-2, 1-2 SEC) was the only SEC school to have an open date in Week 8.
