NC State's Davin Vann on Clemson football: 'We are on the same level as them'
CHARLOTTE — The preseason trash talk has begun between Clemson football and NC State.
The Tigers will host the Wolfpack at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 21 for both teams' first conference game of the season, but NC State defensive tackle Davin Vann is already providing bulletin board material for Clemson in July.
During ACC Kickoff on Thursday, Vann was asked about facing Clemson this season, and he gave a confident response.
"When we play them, we know we are on the same level as them, and we can beat them," Vann said.
When Vann was asked if he looks forward to seeing Clemson on the schedule when it's released, he added:
"I'm always looking forward to beating them."

NC State defeated Clemson 24-17 last season. The Wolfpack have had recent success against the Tigers, winning two of the past three games. Prior to that period, Clemson won the previous eight matchups.
