Thunder trades up to select Dillon Jones at No. 26

New York sent the draft rights to Dillon Jones, who went No. 26 overall, to OKC in exchange for five second-round picks that span from 2025-27.

Jones, 22, is a 6-5 forward who averaged 20.8 points and 9.8 rebounds as a junior at Weber State this past season. Despite only being a career 32% 3-point shooter, he's a bruising prospect who gets to the rim at will and is a great defender.

Wizards trade up to select Kyshawn George at No. 24

New York sent the draft rights to Kyshawn George, who went No. 24 overall, to Washington in exchange for picks No. 26 and No. 51.

George, 20, is a 6-7 forward who averaged 7.6 points and three rebounds while shooting 40.8% from deep as a freshman at Miami this past season. He's a strong shooter and playmaker who can compete for minutes right away on a Washington team that's in the rebuilding phase.

Nuggets trade up to select DaRon Holmes II at No. 22

Phoenix traded the draft rights to DaRon Holmes II, who went No. 22 overall, to Denver in exchange for the No. 28 pick, the No. 56 pick and two future second-round picks.

Holmes, 21, is a 6-9 center who averaged 20.4 points and 8.5 rebounds as a senior with Dayton this past season. He's a strong defender who can protect the rim, and he should compete for backup minutes right away with the Nuggets.

Thunder selects Nikola Topic with No. 12 overall pick

OKC selected Nikola Topic with the No. 12 overall pick.

The 6-6 guard averaged 15.1 points and 5.9 assists in 18 combined games this past season with Mega MIS and Crvena Zvezda, two teams in Serbia's KLS. Topic, 18, is a high-level passer and a good finisher around the rim, although he'll have to improve as a shooter.

Topic's draft stock took a dip earlier this month when he suffered a partially torn ACL, which could sideline him for all of this upcoming season. But he'll have plenty of time to recover and develop with OKC.

Jazz selects Cody Williams with No. 10 overall pick

Utah selected Cody Williams with the No. 10 overall pick.

Williams, who's the younger brother of OKC's Jalen Williams, averaged 11.9 points and three rebounds as a freshman at Colorado this past season. The 19-year-old, 6-7 freshman is a versatile defender who has the potential to become a legitimate 3-and-D player.

Spurs trade Rob Dillingham to the Timberwolves

San Antonio traded the draft rights to Rob Dillingham, who went No. 8 overall, to Minnesota for a 2031 first-round pick and a 2030 swap that's top-one protected.

Dillingham is a 6-1 guard who averaged 15.2 points and 3.9 assists as a freshman at Kentucky this past season while shooting 44.4% from deep. The 19-year-old prospect should immediately provide some scoring production for Minnesota, which reached the Western Conference semifinals this past season.

Wizards select Alexandre Sarr with No. 2 overall pick

Washington selected Alexandre Sarr with the No. 2 overall pick.

Sarr, who's the younger brother of OKC's Olivier Sarr, is one of the most promising prospects in his class at 19 years old. The 7-1 forward averaged 9.7 points and 4.4 rebounds this past season with Perth, a team in Australia's NBL.

Sarr should provide strong rim protection as the center of the future for Washington, which has been active on draft day. It traded Deni Avdija to Portland in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon, the No. 14 overall pick, a 2029 first-round pick and two future second-round picks.

Hawks select Zaccharie Risacher with No. 1 overall pick

Atlanta selected Zaccharie Risacher with the No. 1 overall pick.

The 19-year-old, 6-8 forward averaged 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds this past season with JL Bourg, a team in France's LNB Pro A. He's a two-way threat with a reliable 3-point shot and the ability to defend multiple positions.

For the second year in a row, a French player has been selected with the top pick in the NBA Draft. Victor Wembanyama got selected by San Antonio with the No. 1 overall pick in 2023.

Wizards send Deni Avdija to Trail Blazers

Washington sent Deni Avdija to Portland in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon, the No. 14 overall pick, a 2029 first-round pick and two future second-round picks. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the trade.

Avdija is a 23-year-old forward who fits the timeline of Portland's young core of Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe. He averaged 14.7 points and 7.2 rebounds this past season while shooting 37.4% from deep.

Meanwhile, Washington has obtained its third first-round pick (No. 2, 14 and 26) in this year's draft. It also received a veteran guard in Brogdon, who averaged 15.7 points and 5.5 assists this past season but only played 39 games due to injuries.
