Nashville Predators 6, St. Louis Blues 3: Filip Forsberg, Roman Josi score in win
The Nashville Predators beat the St. Louis Blues 6-3 on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena, snapping a three game losing streak, and inching closer to clinching a playoff spot.
Roman Josi scored 31 seconds into the game to give Nashville a 1-0 lead, but St. Louis answered later in the period on a goal by Brandon Saad.
In the second period, Filip Forsberg gave the Predators a 2-1 lead with a power play goal. It was Forsberg's 42nd goal of the season, tying his career high. Then, with 29 seconds left in the period, Anthony Beauvillier scored his first goal for the Predators, giving Nashville a 3-1 lead.
Michael McCarron and Forsberg scored twice in the third period, answering goals by Jake Neighbours and Jordan Kyrou. Mark Jankowski added an empty netter to make it a 6-3 final.
Juuse Saros of the Predators finished with 44 saves, while Jordan Binnington of the Blues made 25 saves.
