MLB playoff picture 2024: Division, wild card standings entering games today
The 2024 MLB All-Star Game is in the rear-view mirror, which means the 2024 MLB playoffs will be here before we know it.
A lot of teams are still in contention for division and wild-card berths in the postseason.
In the American League, the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Guardians and Houston Astros are in position to win their divisions, while the Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers lead the National League divisions.
The National League wild-card race could be particularly intriguing down the stretch, with eight teams within four games of the final playoff spot.
The three division winners each make the MLB postseason; the three teams with the best records that did not win their division receive wild-card berths.
Check out how the MLB playoff picture looks heading into games on July 22, 2024.
