Missouri basketball lands four-star power forward, second commitment in Class of 2025
Dennis Gates is back on the recruiting trail.
Exactly one week before Missouri men’s basketball’s new season begins, the Tigers landed their second commitment in the Class of 2025 as four-star power forward Nicholas Randall announced his commitment Monday via a post to his Instagram account.
Randall is a 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward who plays his high school basketball at Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona. He is originally from St. Louis and played at Vashon High.
He is ranked as the No. 120 overall player in his class by the recruiting website 247Sports and the No. 26-ranked power forward. He recently narrowed his list of potential landing spots to three, with San Francisco and Creighton also in the running.
Randall opted for the Tigers, where he joins Columbia local and Tolton High commit Aaron Rowe, a point guard, in Mizzou’s Class of 2025. Rowe is ranked as the No. 69-ranked player in the country in his class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.
With two commitments on board — both of whom ranked in the top 150 players in their class — Gates now has the 26th-ranked class in the country.
Missouri begins its season next Monday at Memphis, where it will attempt to win for the first time this calendar year after losing 19 straight SEC games to end last season.

Mizzou is set to lose six players at the end of this season to eligibility: guard Tamar Bates; guard Caleb Grill; transfer wing Jacob Crews; point guard Tony Perkins; combo guard Marques Warrick; and center Josh Gray.
That will leave Missouri with nine players eligible to return, including all five players in its top-five freshman class from this year.
The early signing period for college basketball is fast approaching, with the first date that commits are eligible to put pen to paper coming Nov. 13. The early period will run through Nov. 20.
Mizzou is one of four teams reportedly in the running for Link Academy (Branson, Mo.) combo guard Davion Hannah, another four-star prospect. There is currently no timeline for Hannah’s commitment, as he decides between Alabama, Cincinnati and Ohio State.
