Michigan State defensive lineman Maverick Hansen carried off field with left leg injury
Veteran Michigan State football defensive lineman Maverick Hansen left the Spartans' game against Ohio State in the first half and appeared to be in serious pain while holding his left leg.
Just seconds after a massive momentum swing in the Spartans' favor, Hansen went down on the field after a 20-yard gain by Ohio State. The broadcast did not show a replay of the injury, but he seemed to be in serious pain.
Hansen was carried off the field by trainers while holding his left leg in the air and not putting any weight on it.

Hansen, in his sixth season in green and white, is one of the only remaining Mark Dantonio-era recruits still playing for the Spartans after surviving the turnover at the start and end of the Mel Tucker era and the beginning of the Jonathan Smith regime.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive tackle was playing in his 46th career game and has been a consistent presence on an MSU defensive line that has been affective through the first four weeks.
After Hansen went down, the Buckeyes easily marched down the field and added their second touchdown of the game to take a 17-7 lead.
