MIAM GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins will try to break a streak of 24 years without an NFL playoff victory this season.

Owner Stephen Ross believes the NFL's oldest roster, if healthy, is a Super Bowl contender in 2024.

Miami opens its season on Sunday against Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium.

In your opinion, what’s the Dolphins strengths and weaknesses with this current roster? - @MrEd315

Thanks for the question, Mr. Ed. The Dolphins' greatest strength is in its overall star power, and speed on offense. The blend of Tua Tagovailoa, Mike McDaniel, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is splendid. Appreciate it. The concern, of course, is the interior of Miami's offensive line. On defense, The Dolphins' ability to stop the run in 2024 without departed Christian Wilkins is a concern. And Miami's banged-up secondary has barely practiced together.

As of today, with available players, is this team a serious contender? Is there anyone that you would sign/trade for realistically to improve team? - @carloslorenzom

Yes, the Dolphins are a contender to win the AFC East. And the AFC. Why not? Just a few years ago, the Bengals came from nowhere to play in the Super Bowl. Miami in the next Super Bowl would be less of a surprise, wouldn't it? They have eight players in the NFL's Top 100. As for signing a player now, I think Miami really needs to continue to monitor any and all available guards and centers. It's hard to believe there hasn't been a single interior offensive lineman worth adding to the 53-man roster.

What was the single best offseason move, and the single worst move? - @granatdesign

Drafting Jaylen Wright in the fourth round was a good move. Signing tight end Jonnu Smith and linebacker Jordyn Brooks were good moves. Extending Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel were good moves. We'll see about receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. Obviously at this point, it's not looking great. And we'll see how center Aaron Brewer performs compared to Connor Williams, allowed to walk to the Seahawks. I still think Miami could have found a way to tag Christian Wilkins for one season. We'll see if any of the defensive tackles they're leaning on pan out. Sorry, just realize you asked for single best and worst. Too late, I guess.

Hey Joe, assuming that Aaron Brewer is back as our starting center for the opener ( trending) who would you start at RG?, me personally I would go with Eichenberg , what would you do? - @fzb3346

It's probably going to be Liam Eichenberg and he's probably going to be OK, most of the time. Sometimes he can struggle against power rush. He's better on the move. I'm not sure Lester Cotton is the answer at right guard, but it could be argued he's on par with Eichenberg. It would be great if at some point Isaiah Wynn were able to return to play left guard, but Miami can't count on that. Again, they should be monitoring the market.

Who has more TDs this year Achane or Mostert? - @Canesbi

Mostert. Assuming he stays relatively healthy.

Do you think Grier and McDaniel actually believe what they are selling publicly about the OL? - @TimSkii22

Sort of. I mean, they undoubtedly think we're too critical/skeptical of Aaron Brewer, Liam Eichenberg, Robert Jones and Lester Cotton. But it's not like they think they're Pro Bowl-caliber players. I think they just think that the scheme, Tua's quick release and, well, the scheme, give the inside guys a chance to avoid negative exposure. And, yes, I think they're trying to build confidence with repeated positive public commentary.
