Memphis Grizzlies' Taylor Jenkins goes ballistic, gets tech after no-call on LeBron James
Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins lost his cool during the third quarter of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.
Jenkins sprinted several steps on to the floor in reaction to LeBron James and Jaren Jackson Jr.'s scramble for a loose ball during a Grizzlies possession. James and Jackson both dove on the floor for the ball; Jackson held James' arm, and James shoved Jackson in the throat with his arm to get free.
Jenkins was incensed seeing Jackson get hit above the shoulders, especially with no foul called on James. Lakers guard Taurean Prince eventually got the ball from James after the scrum and dribbled into Jenkins, who was at least three steps on the court while yelling at an official and could not backpedal to the bench in time.
Jenkins was called for a technical foul as a result; the score was tied at 75 with 6:21 remaining in the third at the time.

If Jenkins was heated before the technical foul, he turned it up a few notches after it. He had to be restrained by at least one other person on the Grizzlies bench. Ja Morant was among the several people trying to calm Jenkins.
No other foul call was assessed during the ensuing media timeout.
