Marquette men's basketball team is ranked in AP poll for 32nd consecutive week

The Marquette men's basketball team is ranked No. 18 in the presason Associated Press poll that was released on Monday.

The Golden Eagles, who are replacing NBA draft picks Tyler Kolek and Oso Ighodaro, will open the season against Stony Brook on Nov. 4 at Fiserv Forum.

How many consecutive weeks has Marquette been ranked?

MU has been ranked in 32 consecutive AP polls, starting in the 10th week of the 2022-23 season.

The Golden Eagles were ranked all of last season, starting at No. 5 in the preseason. MU reached as high as third and as low as 17, then finished No. 12.

MU's longest streak of being ranked is 166 polls in the 1970s.

What MU opponents are ranked in AP preseason poll?

Two-time defending national champion Connecticut is No. 3, the Big East's highest-ranked team. Conference foe Creighton checked in at No. 15.

MU also has non-conference games vs. No. 14 Purdue on Nov. 19 at Fiserv Forum and at No. 4 Iowa State on Dec. 4.
