Mannequin Challenge: Hockey teams take part in viral sensation (Video)

The ‘Mannequin Challenge’ has gripped the sporting world, with teams and personalities creating hilarious poses.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco attempted the Mannequin Challenge after throwing a touchdown in a Thursday night game against the Cleveland Browns. The Dallas Cowboys ownership group tried one on their plane. The Sacramento Kings did it publicly on the street.

It even reached such levels as the White House where the Cleveland Cavaliers posed with First Lady Michelle Obama.

The hockey world has gotten into the act.

Thomas Chabot of the Saint John Sea Dogs in the QMJHL posted a video of his teammates in their locker room.

The Boston College women’s hockey team made some hysterical poses on the ice, including an amazing goal celebration.

The Hershey Bears had an ambitious two-location Mannequin Challenge video.

The St. Louis Jr. Blues showed a player hanging onto the glass.

The Dallas Stars Elite U16 Girls put their own spin on the challenge, which included quite the bodycheck along the boards.

Kent State put a player on top of a goal net.

AIC hockey posted a video of them frozen while working out.

Hermantown High School went all out on their challenge with some wacky poses in their locker room, one of which included someone sitting on a toilet.

Syracuse hockey recreated a goal scoring scenario and a goaltender brawl.

University of Wisconsin-River Falls had a selfie pose from the bench.

Elmira women’s hockey said their challenge was just a usual pre-game practice. If so, that’s quite a way to prepare for a game.

Plymouth State women’s hockey posted a video that showed a player being hip checked.

Butler hockey was proud of the fact that their challenge involved someone riding a Zamboni.

It has also gone global with Jokerit in Finland.

As this craze gets bigger and bigger, hopefully we’ll see some NHL teams get in the act and come up with some hysterical videos. Which NHL teams would you most want to see do the Mannequin Challenge?
