LSU women's basketball vs. Ole Miss in SEC Tournament semifinals: Live updates

GREENVILLE, S.C. – LSU women's basketball came out hot, opening the game against Auburn on a 21-0 run en route to winning the SEC Tournament quarterfinal matchup, 78-48, Friday inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

The win moved the No. 2 seed Tigers (27-4) on to the conference tournament semifinals where it'll face No. 3 seed Ole Miss Saturday night (6 p.m., ESPNU).

Ole Miss (23-7) defeated No. 11 Florida, 84-74, late Friday night to advance to set up the contest with LSU.

The teams met once during the regular season, early in SEC play. LSU knocked off the Rebs in Oxford, 84-73 on the road.

Tigers junior star forward Angel Reese paced LSU in the early meeting against Ole Miss with 21 points, and she should be the top option on offense for Kim Mulkey and company. Reese has collected 10 straight double-doubles, most recently against Auburn in the quarterfinals with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Reese has 21 double-doubles this season.

For Coach Yolette McPhee-McCuin and the Rebels, things are going to start with senior Madison Scott and point guard Marquesha Davis, who dropped 33 points on Florida Friday night.
