Everyone knows what's coming next week with No. 1 South Carolina paying No. 10 LSU women's basketball a visit in a monster showdown.
But Kim Mulkey and her Tigers can't afford to look ahead as Arkansas comes to town to play inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Sunday afternoon (4 p.m., ESPN). This game has plenty of the makings for a classic trap game but will LSU (17-2, 4-1) allow itself to fall in it?
The Tigers successfully shook off its first Southeastern Conference loss last Sunday at Auburn with a convincing win at Alabama on Thursday.
While LSU has been playing tough road conference games, Arkansas has had the last week off and will be well-rested. Last Sunday, the Razorbacks (14-5, 2-2) beat Alabama by 18 points last time out.
The Hogs have been without one of its top players in freshman guard Taliah Scott and whether or not she will be available to play dealing with a back injury remains to be seen. But senior guard Samara Spencer and forward Maryam Dauda are seemingly catching their stride as Arkansas looks much better now than it did during the nonconference slate.
