LSU women's basketball score vs. Auburn: Live updates
These are the games that at this point in the season, LSU women's basketball can't afford to lose.
The No. 13 Tigers (22-4, 9-3 SEC), who sit second in the league standings behind No. 1 South Carolina, hosts Auburn (16-9, 5-7), who's closer to the bottom of the SEC race, inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Thursday night (8 p.m., SEC Network).
LSU is hovering on the No. 4 seed line in the NCAA Tournament selection committee's top 16, as it revealed last week, as well as in nearly all of the tourney projections. Dropping games against Auburn, like it did on the road earlier this season, could doom Kim Mulkey's team's chances of hosting the first two rounds of March Madness.
But Auburn will come to Baton Rouge desperate for another big-time win. In the latest round of bracketology, Auburn is squarely on the bubble with some listing it among the "Last Four In" or "First Four Out" groups.
