LSU vs Texas A&M baseball game in weather delay. Here's when the game will start

BATON ROUGE — LSU baseball's game against Texas A&M Saturday at Alex Box Stadium is in a weather delay due to lightning in the area.

Game officials announced a few minutes into the delay that the game will start at 7:02 p.m. CT.

The game had not started but lightning had been detected and forced the start of the game to be delayed. The game was scheduled for first pitch at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Per NCAA rules, teams are required to leave the field of play and remain inside for 30 minutes from the last detected lightning strike.

This is the first game this season LSU has had delayed due to weather.

Saturday's game is the second of three games in the SEC series between the Tigers (30-17, 8-14 SEC) and Aggies (39-7, 15-7 SEC). LSU won the series opener Friday night, 6-4.
