LSU football to be without safety Jordan Allen at Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — LSU football will be without one of its more experienced safeties when it takes on Arkansas at Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN).
Sophomore safety Jordan Allen, who has started a couple of games this season for the Tigers, did not make the trip with the team to Fayetteville for this SEC showdown. Team officials confirmed Allen did not accompany LSU to The Daily Advertiser.
Allen was not listed on LSU's injury report this week ahead of the matchup with the Hogs (4-2, 1-2).

The defensive back has missed some time this season with a lower leg injury, including the entire South Carolina game, but played for No. 8 LSU (5-1, 2-0 SEC) last week in the thrilling overtime win over Ole Miss. He didn't start the game but recorded one tackle.
For the season, the Lafayette native has 14 stops with a pass defended.
Allen's absence likely won't affect what LSU wants to do defensively as Jardin Gilbert and Sage Ryan have been the starters since the Tigers' off week and LSU coach Brian Kelly has said that the safety will do less rotating once the team gets into the meat of its schedule here in the second half of the 2024 season.
