LSU football rankings: Tigers move up in Week 11 US LBM Coaches Poll
For the second time this season, as LSU football participated in college football from the comfort of its proverbial couch, chaos ensured it was ahead of its peers in the college football rankings.
Three teams ranked ahead of Brian Kelly and the Tigers (6-2, 3-1 SEC) fell Saturday, including Texas A&M at South Carolina, Clemson to Louisville and Iowa State to Texas Tech, all three ranked from No. 8 to No. 11 in the US LBM Coaches Poll last week.
LSU lost at Texas A&M prior to its off week and will host rival Alabama (6-2, 3-2) inside Tiger Stadium Saturday night (6:30 p.m., ABC) as ESPN's College Gameday will be on site for what seems to be a pseudo-elimination game for the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide were on an off week this week as well.

LSU rankings update
The polls were shaken up, alright. LSU jumped back up three spots up to No. 13 after this weekend's results, moving ahead of A&M who it lost last Saturday. The matchup with Alabama will be a top-15 contest as the Crimson Tide checks in at No. 11. After Bama, the Tigers have one more top-25 game on the schedule as of this week and that with No. 25 Vanderbilt on Nov. 22.
