Love's Field now open: Everything to know about OU softball's new home stadium
OU softball will break in its new home stadium, Love's Field, on Friday with a doubleheader against Miami (Ohio) at 2 p.m. and Liberty at 5 p.m.
It marks the first day of the OU Tournament and the debut of Love's Field, a $48 million facility located at the northwest corner of South Jenkins Avenue and Imhoff Road in Norman.

How long did OU softball play at Marita Hynes Field?
OU played at Marita Hynes Field from 1998-2023.
The Sooners went 548-62-1 on their home field during those 26 seasons. They also won 17 NCAA Regionals and nine NCAA Super Regionals at Marita Hynes Field.

How much did it cost to build Love's Field?
The construction of Love's Field was a $48 million project.
Over 1,000 donors helped fund the project. This included a $12 million lead and naming gift from Love's Travel Stops.
How big is Love's Field compared to Marita Hynes Field?
Love's Field's overall square footage is 44,000, compared to 15,168 at Marita Hynes Field.
Love's Field also has a capacity of 4,200. Marita Hynes Field has a capacity of 1,378, although it can reach over 2,000 with temporary seating and standing room areas.
