Louisiana football's linebacker K.C. Ossai out for the rest of the game vs Tulane
In the third quarter of Louisiana football's Week 4 matchup vs Tulane on Saturday, one of its key linebackers, redshirt senior K.C. Ossai, was ruled out for the rest of the game.
The 6-foot-2 and 241-pound linebacker was ruled out with an upper-body injury that he suffered in the first half of the game against the Green Wave. Ossai has been a leader on defense for the Cajuns for the past few seasons and is currently leading them in total tackles this season with 19.
In this matchup, he recorded three solo tackles before he was sidelined, including a huge tackle on Tulane's redshirt sophomore running back Makhi Hughes. On a third-and-5 attempt in the red zone, Ossai was the first defender on the ball and came up with the stop to hold the Green Wave to a field goal.
