A lot of fans actually showed up to the Rams' Super Bowl send-off rally on Sunday
Super Bowl LIII is a week away, and the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams held Super Bowl send-off rallies. Over 35,000 Patriots fans showed up to Gillette Stadium to send their beloved team off to Atlanta. As for the Rams’ send-off, it’s hard to say if over 35,000 people showed up, but there was a long line leading to the rally at the L.A. Stadium at Hollywood Park, site of the team’s home stadium in 2020.

The event kicked off with music and Rams trivia. Moments later, Sean McVay led the Rams onstage, and the crowed went bananas. McVay and Greg Zuerlein were the first two from the Rams to talk on the mic. The Rams have a lot of respect for the Patriots, according to McVay, but they are going to Atlanta to “get this last check.”

Once McVay was done, he brought up Zuerlien. The crowd started chanting, “Greg the leg!” Zuerlien’s game-winning, 57-yard field goal against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship punched the Rams’ ticket to Atlanta.

Moments later, Jared Goff and Todd Gurley thanked the fans. They both told fans they expect to bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Los Angeles.

Todd Gurley: “We going to go back to the A and bring a Chip back to LA.” Then Jared Goff asks the crowd if they wanted to hear from Marcus Peters — which would have been awesome — instead, Brandin Cooks steps forward to say something about what happened earlier today in Foxboro. pic.twitter.com/6xBq85er78

During this event, Johnny Hekker and Rodger Saffold went to Twitter to show the excitement from the rally.

Overall, this Rams’ send-off rally attracted a lot of fans. This notion that the Rams do not have a strong fanbase is not true. Hopefully the Rams can deliver on their promise by delivering Lombardi to the City of Angels.
