Los Angeles Rams pick DE Jared Verse in Round 1 of 2024 NFL Draft. Everything you need to know
Florida State defensive end Jared Verse has been selected No. 19 overall by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 NFL Draft.
He began his college career at FCS Albany before transferring to FSU in 2022, playing two seasons in Tallahassee.
Verse is the 47th first-round pick in FSU history and the second in three years.

Verse spent three seasons at Albany from 2019 to 2021. He transferred to FSU and played two seasons with the Seminole, 2022 to 2023.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio, but was raised in Berwick, Pennsylvania and went to Central Columbia High School in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

Over the last two seasons, Verse has emerged as one of the most explosive defensive ends in college football.
During college career at Albany and FSU, he's recorded 164 tackles, 31.5 sacks, three pass deflections, and three forced fumbles over 39 games. He's recorded at least nine sacks in his last three seasons.
This past season for FSU he recorded 41 tackles, nine sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups.
Verse is known for his speed off the edge and strength to get to opposing quarterbacks.
During his time at FSU, Verse has been a nightmare for opposing teams and has been a main force behind the Seminoles' defensive success this season.
He had four multi-sack games against Virginia Tech (two), Wake Forest (two), Florida (2.5) and Louisville (2.5).
Verse also had a forced fumble against Florida, helping the Seminoles to a 24-15 rivalry win over the Gators in the Swamp.
