The starting order for the NASCAR Cup Series YellaWood 500 playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway has been set.

Michael McDowell in the No. 34 car of Front Row Motorsports once again will lead the field to green at Talladega in 2024, winning his second straight pole at the track and sixth of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. He will be joined on the front row by Austin Cindric. McDowell is joined in the top five by his teammate Todd Gilliland. He is on the second row with Kyle Busch.

The first playoff drivers are Penske teammates Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano, who make up the third row. Denny Hamlin is the only other playoff driver in the top 10, but Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson start on row six, leading a host of playoff drivers behind them. Chase Briscoe is the playoff driver beginning furthest back, starting in 36th place.
