Lane Kiffin throws out idea for on-field sponsor logo at Tennessee football's Neyland Stadium

OXFORD — On Thursday, the NCAA announced that it will allow schools to display on-field advertisements from sponsors beginning with the 2024 season. And Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin was quick to offer Tennessee a suggestion for Neyland Stadium.

On social media, Kiffin shared a prompt asking which companies should sponsor Tennessee, tagging French's mustard company. He also added an emoji of a golfer.

The post, of course, was a callback to a 2021 game between the Rebels and Vols in Knoxville. Ole Miss won, 31-26, and Tennessee fans threw objects onto the field in reaction to a fourth-quarter call, including a French's mustard bottle and a golf ball.

Kiffin has taken every opportunity to troll Tennessee over those events ever since. He attached a golfing emoji to a post directed at famous Tennessee fan Morgan Wallen. And he used a golf ball to throw out the first pitch of a baseball game between the Rebels and Tennessee.

Kiffin, of course, was once the coach of the Vols, who he led to a 7-6 record in 2009 before departing for USC.
