Report: Kris Dunn agrees to free agent deal with Clippers

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Sports) – The Utah Jazz have reportedly lost their first free agent of the off-season, as point guard Kris Dunn has apparently agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

TNT’s Chris Haynes was first to report the deal.

The Clippers are reportedly exploring a sign and trade deal with the Jazz, which would open up more salary to Dunn and bring something in return to Utah.

Dunn was the #5 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, but never lived up to expectations. After stops in Chicago, Atlanta and Portland, Dunn resurrected his career with the Jazz.

Jazz sign Suns center Drew Eubanks to two-year deal

After beginning the 2022-23 season in the G-League, the Jazz signed Dunn to two 10-day contracts, which he worked his way into $2.6-million deal with Utah.

Dunn averaged 13.2 points, 4,5 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 22 games during the 2022-23 season He then became a regular part of the rotation last season, playing in 66 games, averaging 5.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists, while shooting 47 percent from the field.

Dunn’s minutes could be taken by rookie Isaiah Collier, a first round pick by the Jazz last week out of USC.

Earlier in the day, the Jazz waived Omer Yurtseven, and then signed its first free agent, former Phoenix Suns center Drew Eubanks, to a 2-year, $10-million deal.
