Kevin Durant made Team USA basketball history on Tuesday against Brazil by passing WNBA legend Lisa Leslie as the player to score the most points at the Olympics for both the men's and women's teams.

After achieving such amazing Team USA history, Durant posted a really thoughtful message on social media.

Durant praised Leslie as "the gold standard in basketball" and said he will hold the Olympic record until "another great comes along and passes [him] up."

This is such a classy way for Durant to recognize making history with humility and great perspective. His message included an attached photo of Durant with all of his Team USA teammates, adding that his focus now is "all about the gold baby."

As the Americans vie for yet another set of gold medals in Olympic basketball, Durant's achievement will become even cooler in the rearview mirror. What a moment this was for Team USA.
