On Thursday, Team USA men's basketball was pushed to the brink by Nikola Jokic's upstart Serbia team in the Paris Olympics semifinals. But in the end, a late flurry from LeBron James and Steph Curry led the Americans to an epic comeback win. They will now play Victor Wembanyama's France in Saturday's gold medal game.

After the win, Kevin Durant took some time to speak to the gathered media contingent. He had a rather hilarious way of summing up the lived American experience while relating it back to Team USA's win.

Honestly, he has such a way with words. (Warning: NSFW language below.)

It's SO true. For all of us who live stateside, it feels like there's so much unrelenting [expletive] all of us have to deal with on a daily basis. But hey, there's always that light at the end of the tunnel. And maybe that's when we realize things aren't so bad.

American life is truly akin to basketball.
