Keeping tabs of status of Georgia football RB Trevor Etienne, others for Clemson game
ATLANTA—Georgia football entered Saturday with questions aplenty about player availability due to not just injuries but possible suspensions.
The status of running back Trevor Etienne was front and center stemming from his March 24 arrest that led to a plea deal in July.
DUI charges against the Florida transfer were dismissed and he plead no contest to reckless driving and guilty to underage possession of alcohol, failure to maintain lane and a window tint violation.
Coach Kirby Smart nearly said during a press conference this spring that Etienne would be suspended before stopping himself, but has not confirmed that this week. ESPN reported that Etienne will miss the game while 247Sports reported Saturday that Etienne is "expected" to be held out of the game. Georgia has not confirmed that Saturday.
Etienne wasn't used on the first series of the game even though he warmed up pregame.
Branson Robinson started and got the bulk of the snaps in the first offensive series with former walk-on Cash Jones working in behind him.
The Bulldogs are already down leading returning rusher Roderick Robinson after he had toe surgery.
Smart has not announced whether other players arrested or cited this offseason face suspension for this game.
They include:
--Inside linebacker Smael Mondon is dressed out and warmed up with Jalon Walker as the top at the position early. Mondon had July 10 charges of racing and reckless driving dismissed.
--Wide receiver Sacovie White. May 18 charges of reckless driving and driving the wrong way on a one-way street were dismissed. He's dressed out and warmed up with the others at the position. He's with the wide receivers catching passes pregame.
--Offensive lineman Bo Hughley. He’s facing charges of reckless driving and failure to maintain lane/improper driving on road from a one-vehicle accident on a crash on campus. He's dressed out pregame.
--Cornerback Demello Jones. Charged with racing Mondon July 10. He's dressed out pregame.
As for injuries, we’re tracking that here as well.
South Carolina defensive line transfer Xzavier McCleod is not dressed out. He's been dealing with an Achille injury.
Defensive tackle Warren Brinson is probable with an Achilles injury. He was working with the defensive linemen pregame.
So is wide receiver Colbie Young with a hamstring injury. Young warmed up pregame.

As previously reported, running back Roderick Robinson (toe) and defensive tackle Jordan Hall (legs) are out. Robinson is on a scooter with his right foot elevated and Hall is watching the defensive linemen warm up.
