Jordan Love's girlfriend, Ronika Stone, pulls out the receipts of people bashing the Packers quarterback during his career in amazing TikTok
The moment the Green Bay Packers selected Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft to be Aaron Rodgers' heir apparent, there were doubters.
And, boy, were they loud. Very loud.
"Wasted our first round pick," some said. "Worst pick of the draft," others said.
Then, before he even took a snap in his first year as the starter in 2023, people with large platforms offered these kind of hot takes: "Jordan Love can't play football." No, we haven't forgotten, Adam Schein.
And even as the season progressed, you had analysts calling Love a backup quarterback, despite the sample size being barely a handful of games. Colin Cowherd, that was you. It wouldn't be hard to find folks with a microphone on TV or social media firing off posts with things like "He sucks," "Bust," "Can he play WR??"
You won't find Jordan Love talking about those haters these days or ever. After all, he's busy leading the Packers into the playoffs and playing the quarterback position as well as anyone in the NFL. He finished the regular season among the quarterback leaders with 32 touchdown passes (second in the NFL) and 36 total touchdowns (fourth). Over the last eight games, he has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 18:1.
What might be most impressive is his ability to come up big in big moments. Thanksgiving in Detroit. "Sunday Night Football" vs. Kansas City. New Year's Eve in Minneapolis. And then, of course, Sunday against Chicago was his crowning moment and most efficient game of his career — completing 84.4% of his passes for 316 yards, two touchdowns and a 128.6 passer rating — that not only kept his ownership in the rivalry but sent the Packers to the postseason.
While he may not have time for those who trashed him, his girlfriend, Ronika Stone, a professional volleyball player, brought those receipts back out in an amazing TikTok posted to her account Sunday.
Stone highlighted all the phrases the so-called experts or keyboard warriors called Love before and during the season.
She prefaced the video with the headline "Youngest team in the NFL to make the playoffs" in relation to the Packers having the youngest roster in the NFL this season.
The video of her and Love isn't current but the messages that people wrote are relatively recent and the point is well-taken.
Love and the Packers head to Dallas as the underdog against the Cowboys, who haven't lost all season at home. Sure, there will be more doubters. But Love and the Packers have been used to it.
And look at them now.
