Jaydon Blue injury update: Texas football running back returns to game vs. Michigan

At the position where it can least afford it, Texas football has another injury scare to monitor.

Jaydon Blue, the Longhorns' starting running back following preseason injuries to CJ Baxter and Christian Clark, left Texas' game against Michigan after rushing for a first down. He hopped on one leg to the Longhorns' sideline pointing toward his right leg and went into the injury tent.

He did not return to start the next Texas drive, but did return as the Longhorns neared the red zone.

Blue, a junior, rushed for 63 yards on 11 carries in Texas' opener against Colorado State. He had four carries for 14 yards before leaving Saturday's game.

Freshman Jerrick Gibson and sophomore Quintrevion Wisner would be the two running backs to watch if Blue is limited for the remainder of the game. Gibson rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown last week. Wisner posted 22 yards and a TD.
