The Ja'Marr Chase saga took up so much of Cincinnati Bengals training camp as the star wideout seeks a new contract, and now, with the team's Week 1 game against the New England Patriots looming, his status is up in the air.
Will he play despite no new deal? Will he sit out to prove a point?
Here's what we know as of Sunday morning: In addition to the news per ESPN's Adam Schefter that a new deal "is considered unlikely," he's also listed as questionable because of an illness. Chase had also said he'd be a game-time decision earlier in the week.
