Hill and Campbell still played in the game
The incident didn't stop Hill or Campbell from playing in the game, which Miami won on a walk-off field goal. Hill had seven catches for 130 yards and a touchdown that he celebrated by mocking the situation.
The 38-year-old Campbell had two tackles for loss and a sack.
Campbell said during his postgame interview he didn't understand why the stop escalated to him being put in handcuffs.
"They put handcuffs on me too, and I was like what's going on," Campbell said. "I didn't understand what the issue was. For him to handcuff me, I felt some kind of way."
Officer was placed on administrative duties
Miami-Dade Police released a statement saying one of the officers involved was placed on administrative duties pending an Internal Affairs investigation.
