Jalen Ramsey injury; Will Miami Dolphins CB play vs. Jacksonville?

MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins star cornerback Jalen Ramsey was not seen at practice on Wednesday.

Ramsey's hamstring injury was revealed late Wednesday afternoon.

If Ramsey were unable to start in the season opener against Jacksonville on Sunday, Miami could turn to Ethan Bonner, Storm Duck or Siran Neal to start opposite Kendall Fuller.

Or, they could start Kader Kohou outside and another corner inside.

Asked directly whether he expects Ramsey to play Sunday, coach Mike McDaniel did not directly respond yes or no.

"I'm very proud of him," McDaniel said. "I've never been more proud of a player not practicing... He knows how important he is to the team and what he's looking for to accomplish with the team as a captain. So I think everyone was kind of impressed because, yeah, he that's a that's a different headache, dealing with him trying to be on the field when he's not supposed to. The human body tells us. I don't really forecast that, but I know he's doing everything he can today and there weren't any setbacks today."
